formula 1 downloading

user-127

hi all

using windows os with latest software installed

when i use
get_iplayer --get formula 1
it returns nothing found
when i use
get_iplayer --get top gear
it downloads.

currently this show is on BBC, so i know there is f1 on the iplayer.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b05...on-preview

get_iplayer -pid b055vbm0 does download it
but i do not want to manually search and enter the pid every time!

any ideas?
anyone else having issues with this?

I'm using the Windows GUI (if that's the right term), and I'm getting the same problem. In fact, it was a problem since BBC changed the feed and Get_iPlayer went to V2.90.

I "run PVR", it updates the cache and proceeds to download lots of other shows, but no Formula 1. Even a search for "Formula" does get any results. I can get the URL from the iPlayer site and use the URL Download method, but can't do it through the "Run PVR" method. It's like F1 doesn't go into the list of available downloads.

I'm using the V2.90 for Windows, Win7 64bit.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

YOu are using a version of get_iplayer that is out of date. We're now on 2.92. Update your version and this should solve the issue.

You can get the latest version via the download page.

Of course, you're right. Installed the new version and searches are showing Formula 1 again and PVR auto-downloads, thank you. Sorry for not being up to date. Thanks again for your help. I would gladly donate a modest amount to this site and the project if there was an option; I don't want this to go away. I'll find a way to pay it forward, thanks.
