So I record radio programmes which always go straight to a desktop folder. Now they are going to downloads/getiplayer/downloads/history. It also says Use force to over-ride
Where is this? No search of computer can find it. Windows 10.
Are you referring to the message that looks something like this?
get_iplayer Output:
INFO: Steve Wright in the Afternoon (b07jck37) Already in history (C:\Users\Computer/get_iplayer/download_history) - use --force to override
If that is what you mean, they are not being downloaded to that folder. That's where get_iplayer's history file is stored which keeps track of what has been downloaded in the past. What that's telling you is that the radio programme that you are trying to download has been downloaded to your computer in the past. If you want to download it again use
--force as suggested.
You can run get iplayer from the command line (from a DOS prompt, aka your command box), indeed that's probably the more powerful way of doing it. The web PVR manager is just a nice graphical front-end for it.
Details on how to use it that way are in the wiki and guides sections, both linked to at the top of these forum pages.
