Hi lovely people

Is there a way to stop get-iplayer's pvr search and downloading old series of shows when compared to the latest series.
So for current-affairs program, like have I got news for you,(currently on series 51), get_iplayer pvr does not download previous series?

If you search for "Have I got news" like so:

get_iplayer "Have I got news"

...you'll get a result like this:


You can see in the title that the show name is appended with "Series 50". 

So if you use a search term like "Have I Got News for You: Series 50" in your PVR entry you'll only get episodes from that series.

I was hoping that there was more clever ways (option current_only =true) rather than having to change the pvr options every half year :)

You can also just disable your pvr job for HIGNFY and re-enable it when a new series airs.
