I updated the cache via the web UI.
I also updated via cmd # get_iplayer --refresh --type=all

However, can't seem to find the above show using either name or Pid in the WebUI in order to play it via VLC.
I can play the film using the iPlayer app on my Sammy Smart TV.

You just need to be a bit more patient. You posted less than an hour after the film finished, and sometimes it takes longer than that for programmes to appear in the data feeds used by get_iplayer, even if the programme is already available on your TV. Searching for the PID won't help because it won't be in the programme cache, either. If you know the PID but the programme is not yet available in the cache, you should try it directly from the command line with .
