MY PROBLEM
########
I can't download news clips or sports clips from the BBC News web site. It used to work. Currently I am getting a message that I might be outside the UK. I do live in Wales but we have not yet left the UK and currently only about 10% of the population would like to do so. So I don't think that's the problem.
WHY ITS AN ISSUE
############
I really like clips and downloaded them a lot, but I have no idea whether I am in a tiny minority. For things like teaching its really good if you can get clips to emphasise what you are saying. e.g. BBC news reports of an HSBC or NatWest computer/security failure emphaises to students its a real issue and I'm not sexing it up! I imagine Leicester City fans might have liked to download clips in recent weeks, too, and keep them for posterity.
STEPS I FOLLOWED
#############
Go to the the BBC News page
Right click on a news/sports video clip, copy link address
Enter: get_iplayer --pid=[paste link address]
--url tried instead of pid. No difference.
--info parameter added. This shows a .EXT file name/location but no Modes being available. I wonder whether that may be the issue.
VERSION AND OS
###########
Ver 2.94 on Win 8.1 (yeah, I know, but I'm stuck on it now and you can make it useable with effort)
Also used Linux Live USB stick
Ver 2.94 on Mint 17
Got the same result

QUESTIONS
########
I had read somewhere - but cannot find it - that downgrading Perl might be a temporary fix. But I have no idea how to do that - would need line-by-line instructions. But if that is correct, then such instructions would be very much appreciated.
Hoping you can help. Thanks, in advance, and thanks for a fantastic piece of software. Shame it only works for the BBC. Hope my Humax keeps going for non-BBC programmes!
