Are there any updates to this problem?

I've seen odd mentions of a new version in development - if so is that looking promising or is it time to see if the betamax still works?

Well how's that for coincidence? I posted that half hour ago. Half hour before the cron job runs get-iplayer. Which worked for the first time in two weeks!
