As stated the get_iplayer is broken at the moment and I appreciate that 'SP' is probably very busy at the moment. I notice a temp fix is available but to the non technical amongst us - highly confused as no direct links as how to download Dev Version of program with a step by step guide.
Anybody help ?
Otherwise anybody any idea as to how long until new version of player is available as I presume you are all volunters.
Thanks if anybody can help.
Les
I'm in a hotel with a temporary PC, so I don't really care what happens to it.
I'm using windows (yuk)
I followed the instructions
I made a dev directory under get_iplayer
I downloaded wget for windows from
https://www.gnu.org/software/wget/
I ran the commands as stated
wget --no-check-certificate
https://raw.github.com/get-iplayer/get_i...et_iplayer
wget --no-check-certificate
https://raw.github.com/get-iplayer/get_i...player.cgi
I backed up get_iplayer.pl and cgi to .org
I copied the two new files into \get_iplayer
And all in the garden was rosy again.
I'm not easily impressed, I always thought Perl green bottles was impressive.
I tip my hat to Dinky.
Many thanks, hope it lasts. We users are often an ungrateful bunch.
