Other services support

user-1049

I just came across get_iplayer and have found it to be a great tool.

Before I started looking into the code I wanted to know if anyone has forked the code and modified it for other services? I know there are other programs that run on Win, but I am looking for something like get_iplayer that is cross platform and will work on Linux.

thanks

No need to look for something "like get_iplayer" that is cross platform. See the installation guides in the wiki.

Thanks for the reply, but I think my initial post was not clear. I am wondering if anyone has attempted to use the code to work with other online streaming services.

thanks.

get_iplayer is iPlayer only.

Try youtube-dl:

I see.  get_iplayer is unsuitable for your purpose. SP gave you one option, and there are a couple of others. We only deal with get_iplayer and related iPlayer services here, so Google is your friend.
