Hi all,

I had a problem with a previously installed version of the get_iplayer software so I decided to uninstall and reinstall it. I had a previously installed copy of the Windows installer installed but, when I try to run it, it doesn't install the get_iplayer software. I get as far as the software installing (so I can get past the installation location and recordings folder parts fine). After a couple of seconds of the software trying to download, I get an error message saying that 'download of get_iplayer failed. Do you wish to try again?' If I click yes, the same error appears after a few seconds. If I click no, all the other parts of the software are installed apart from get_iplayer.

I also tried downloading a new copy of the installer from the Windows download installer link:
http://www.infradead.org/get_iplayer_win...latest.exe
but I can't download the installer. I get an error message saying: 'this page can't be displayed.'

If you have any ideas on why the software won't install that you'd be happy to share I'd really appreciate it!
