OK, so I'm trying to download 'Canals-The Making of a Modern Nation'. Did a search for the series and it was not found, even after doing --refresh, so I decided to download each episode individually by PID. This worked for the first 5 eps, but the last one stubbornly refuses to download. I've tried --force, --url, --modes=tv, --playlist-metadata (even though that doesn't work in v2.94....) - no go.

Can you suggest what else I should try? I have --modes=best set in my preferences.

Well, this is a show that has a repeat showing some time in the future. Based on user-2's reply to one of my previous posts, I used --future and the pid worked.

Works fine here.  If you don't post the full command you used and the output produced, there isn't much we can do for you. As for why the programme doesn't appear in searches, see the info re: local BBC One variants in the most recent release notes.  Also, --future doesn't apply unless you use --refresh-future, which is also unknown in your case.
