hi there,

I'm wondering if the code can developed to show what episode is being searched for?

looking at the output of my recent per search; it could be something before the WARNING/INFO combination

get_iplayer doesn't search for individual episodes. Your search criteria are checked against every entry in the cache and all matches are returned. If you're trying to match a single episode from a single series, you need very specific criteria, but it still may not be possible. You shouldn't be attempting such a specific search in the PVR anyway. It will only ever match once, and the PVR is really for repeated searching to pick up entire series.

hi Dinky, looking back on my original post. I think I may not have explained myself very well.

trying again :)

When the PVR search takes place and it logs to screen what is happening, is it possible to display what tv show/episode is about to be tried for downloading? That way, we can tell which tv show/episode is not successful. very handy when --quiet is on

Would this information be available from the index?

53: Charlie and Lola: Series 3 - I Really Absolutely Must Have Glasses, CBeebies, , default

INFO: 14 Matching Programmes
WARNING: The 'default' programme version could not be determined
WARNING: No programme versions found
WARNING: You may receive this message if you are using get_iplayer outside the UK

Regards,

Dave
