Hi there,
This is known about already, thank you. The move towards this has actually already impacted get_iplayer as can be seen on the blog here. Changes were made to get_iplayer to return functionality as can be seen from the release notes.
It's likely that when Nitro does finally arrive another slew of changes will be required, or it could break get_iplayer permanently. We don't know yet.
