Can anyone tell me what information about the system Get_Iplayer sends out, such as a user agent string. If it does use a UA string, is it possible to edit the string?
I've now established that Get_Iplayer does indeed send out a UA string:
DEBUG: Using desktop user-agent string: 'Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10_4_11; tr) AppleWebKit/502.4+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0dp1 Safari/502.11.2'
DEBUG: Using NoCookies user-agent 'Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10_4_11; tr) AppleWebKit/502.4+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0dp1 Safari/502.11.2'
The second part of the question remains, how can I edit this string? I can't find a preference file that contains the string. Can I create a preference that will overrule the string?
Not configurable - no need for it. User agent strings are hard-coded in the script.
