Issue with BBC radio streams

user-772

Hello,

I noticed on Friday that all the bbc radio streams I have tried to record only have WMA available.. when trying to download with 'modes=best', I see the following error:
INFO: No specified modes (flashaachigh, flashaacstd, flashaudio, flashaaclow) available for this programme with version 'default' (try using --modes=wma)

When I try it with --modes=wma as suggested, it works but it takes forever.

Is anyone else having this problem? Is it possible that the BBC blew up their site again? Note that I am not in the UK, this seems to have worked on Wednesday, and I am on linux.

Thanks!

Nearly the same here.

The only difference I noticed was a R5 program downloaded normally whereas it was all the R2/R6 programs that suffered the "use wma" error.

I hadn't noticed that using --modes=wma actually worked, so thanks for that.

You need to update from the git HEAD to get the most recent fixes.

Have a look at https://squarepenguin.co.uk/wiki/install...itheadgit/

Followed the instructions in:

https://squarepenguin.co.uk/wiki/install...itheadwin/

and all working. Yay!

@Tim You need to create your own topic and give more details.

@tim Doyle Programmes from after the 11th download fine but

@user-2 the get_iplayer output from these programmes now shows less info than for older programmes. Output attached.

Obviously some production change by the BBC. Should be harmless.

Updating to git HEAD.. IE, iplayer 2.90, fixed the issue for me. Thanks all!
