I have had GetiPlayer running for some time on an XP VM, and it's time to create a new Windows 7 VM. Everything has been working fine with the latest build on XP (and kudos to the Get iPlayer programmers!)

Installing on Windows 7 tho, when I attempt to refresh the cache all I get is the above error. No extra AV software installed and I've disabled the windows firewall. If I copy the entire working directory from the working XP VM, still nothing.

Does anyone know what task performs the Web cache refresh? It may gives me some clues as to what on earth is going on. I do notice that a control-c in the perl window never cleanly exits, so perhaps a potential perl issue?

You obviously have some kind of network problem. Use and the feed URLs will be printed. Copy a few and paste into your browser to see if they are accessible at all from your machine.
