Hi there , Using get_iplayer on iMac. Occasionally shows don't appear in indexing for ITV Player

Eg The Great Fire ep 4 not showing in index (ITV Player), yet ep 2 & 3 still available. Why would this be the case ?

Is there a way to find the PID by other means and override OSX interface to insert PID manually to download the episode within OSX get_iplayer ?

get_iplayer only supports BBC iPlayer. At one point it did also support ITV player but that was some time ago and it's somewhat of a miracle that you are even getting the index to work, let alone download anything.
