Radio - What is Lavf54.29.104

user-585

I've seen this a few times in the past where instead of the programme title, station etc, all it says is
Code:
INFO:   ┬®too                 Lavf54.29.104
What does it mean?

Code:
INFO Trying to stream pid using type radio
INFO: pid found in cache
Matches:
13333:  World War One - Forgotten Heroes: The Indian Army in the Great War, BBC
Radio 2,

It's the version of ffmpeg's libavformat library used to mux the file.

user-585

Why does this sometimes show in the download info though instead of the proper programme info?

Is it an error in the metadata?

user-2

No. It is embedded in the source file being downloaded. Nothing to do with get_iplayer whatsoever. If get_iplayer re-muxes a file with ffmpeg after download, the same atom is set separately in the final output file.
