Running get_iplayer 2.87 under Linux Mint as a VM in VirtualBox 4.3.12.

Is there anything to stop my having several terminal windows open at a time, each one doing an iPlayer download?

You could schedule the programmes as PVRs or if you download manually you can stack PIDs or index numbers in one command so it'll download one show after another.

I had in mind doing concurrent downloads, but in practice using stacked pids will work just as well.

There is no concurrent download ability that I'm aware of, programmes are downloaded sequentially unless you take to opening multiple instances as you already tried.

You can run concurrent ad hoc downloads - provided you are downloading different programmes in each terminal - but you can't do pvr runs concurrently.

Yes, that's what I had in mind - just being over cautious.
Tried it and did some file compares, works just fine.
