I know that get_iplayer has long since dropped support for Win XP although it is still possible to run it by using an earlier build of ffmpeg.

Well, it was possible until get_iplayer 3.22 now uses Inno Setup 6.0. Are there new features that of Inno Setup 6.0 that you need over the last version or are you happy to revert back to maintain some compatibilty for older version of Windows?

I had to manually unpack the installer file and copy the files get_iplayer.pl and get_iplayer.cgi over to update the last installed build to get it working again.
