get_iplayer forums

i'm trying to download a Horizon:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b04...ife-and-me
available until wednesday 10.59am BST so some help before then would be great.

It's not in the cache. so i've RTFM and it seems i can use the URL or the pid b04g507y

i've tried:

i can't fathom it. best i can tell the url http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04g507y is some how generic for this season of horizon. but the latest episode does appear in the cache under a different ID

The particular programme you want is signed.

If you had read the error message get_iplayer generated when it indicated it couldn't download you would have seen it say

Warning: No programmes are available for this pid with versions<s>: Default

.

To download this programme you can add

Code:
--versions signed

to your command to download it (I think, never tried it myself).
