One of my machines, (WIN 10) no longer works using a CLI download.
I have tried uninstall and reinstall of V3.20 but still getting the following result. Other machines are working normally. This machine appears to work normally on all other apps and connects to
https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer

Command:
Quote:get_iplayer --tvmode=good --pid m00031ft

response:
Quote:get_iplayer 3.20.0-MSWin32, Copyright (C) 2008-2010 Phil Lewis

Anybody seen this before?

Not a get_iplayer issue. Most likely culprit is antivirus, or possibly firewall. When you see "Can't connect", it means exactly what it says. Your system is preventing connection.

I'm also getting this - it only started for me this morning (it was working until at least 20:00 last night)
Running on a Windows 7 PC. Nothing else has changed on the PC (no anti-virus updates since the beginning of the week)

An another Windows 10 user here with the same problem.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

Tried both the record from Url and refreshed the cache.

Same error messages.

I too have started getting this error today. Windows 10 system here. I tried disabling my firewall and virus protection, and even restarted the PC (yes, I turned it off and on again) but to little avail.

I'm having the same problem. It was working fine on Thursday but is now affecting some recordings but not all.

Unrelated to original post, and also not a get_iplayer issue. Do everyone a favour and read the error message before posting. When you see "Server Error", it means exactly what it says. The problem is at the server, and is almost certainly temporary. Thread closed.
