Hi all,
In recent weeks (maybe longer?) I've noticed a huge drop off in download speeds (I'm using get_iplayer v. 3.20.0).
It's literally taking hours and hours to download a programme ((dvfxsd1/11) [video]) whereas it used to take only a few minutes. Sometimes it just slows down and stops and I have to start again using --force.
I usually use: get_iplayer --pid=xxxx --tvmode=best because --get 'programme number' works only sporadically and I sometimes got errors saying that no such stream could be found.
As far as I can tell, nothing has changed on my computer and my broadband connection is very fast.
I'm pretty sure I didn't change my Prefs but I've tried clearing them anyway, but it hasn't made a difference.
Also, before it does eventually find a stream there are lots of error messages:
'ERROR: Failed to download URL (3/3).....
Response: 403 Forbidden
Ignore this error if programme download is successful'
Any idea how I can remedy this?
Thanks so much for your help,
H
