Is it possible to set the default action after entering an URL in the Quick URL box?

What I would like to be able to do is enter an URL, then press the [Enter] key on the keyboard and it action the [Record] button, rather than actioning the [Search] tab?

Or is that a browser limitation (I am using Chrome 73 on Windows).
