Run Get_Iplayer from LiveCD
#1
How can I install/run get_iplayer from an ext3 formatted linux partition on a USB stick, after booting from a live CD, please?

I have the following distro's available:

Knoppix 5.1
Ubuntu 11.10
Slacko Puppy 6.3.0

I'm willing to download and burn another CD distro if that helps.

PC has 64bit Sempron 2800, 1GB DDR RAM, AGP Radeon 9550/256MB card, internet connection and USB2 ports, aswell as 52X CDROM drive and burner drive.

N.B. Must be a CD distro, not DVD,USB or HDD install.

Thanks!

I'm not expert but get_iplayer-3.20 for which one can use Mylivecd to create a customised live CD.

list get_iplayer get_iplayer-3.20 as a package

This isn't really a get-iplayer question, it's a "how do I create a live CD with persistent storage" question.

For Ubuntu there's some stuff here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LiveCD/Persistence
which may help you.

I've not done this recently - on the occasions I need a bootable ubuntu I tend to put it on a USB stick, but this isn't what you want.
