What do you mean by 'which of the recording mode has been chosen for this?'.

user-2

Recording mode is irrelevant. There is only one available - flashaacstd (128k). That is typical for clips.

then it is remains unclear why can i get radio programmes, tv programmes (through good good proxy, of course), and can't get these?

user-573

People say this mode, flashaacstd1 seldom works
http://lists.infradead.org/pipermail/get...00662.html
http://www.google.com/search?q=INFO%3A+s...l=en&gbv=1
and as user-2 said, is the only available.

None of those links are relevant to your situation here, except to say that there are reasons for your access being blocked.

I think you are putting far too much faith in your proxy.

The BBC does not use one consistent CDN and it is often the case that people report being able to download one/many programmes via one certain proxy but other files they can't.

Proxy's that have worked for years can also fail at any point. Past performance is no guarantee of future success as the BBC and it's partners are constantly updating their IP filters etc.

Nothing you have presented here indicates a problem with get_iplayer. The file can be downloaded from within the UK without issue and everything points to a local issue related to your geographic position being outside the UK and the proxy you are using being blocked by one or more of the BBC CDN providers.

We do not condone the use of VPN/proxy services to access iPlayer content from outside the UK, we don't offer any support or suggestions relating to circumventing the measures the BBC takes to ensure iPlayer content it limited to UK broadcast. Threads discussing this topic are always closed.

In this case I let this thread run because you were convinced that there was a problem with get_iplayer but nothing you have presented suggests that is the case. As a result, this thread is now closed.

And for posterity: The above is completely false. The poster either didn't read or didn't understand the material linked from his Google search results. If flashaacstd mode "seldom works", you would almost never be able to download a radio programme, which is certainly not the case.
