My needs are for low-res most of the time, with the odd higher-res download.

So I set  --prefs-add --tvmode=worse  and specify a higher tvmode when I need it. Great!

But the new default of 50 fps is a problem.

Sure I can type  --fps25  on every single line - but its a bit of a pain.

I think what is needed is the ability to set a preference, such as  --prefs-add --fps25

I for one would find it very helpful if such functionality could be added.
