PVR Run - availability filter?

user-586

I like to load up my PVR List on Monday
with all the (radio) programs I mean to record during the week.
This works fine.
Thanks!

But my habit means that early in the week
I hit the poor Beeb with many useless requests for programmes that I know are not yet available
whenever  I run PVR Run

Is there an option to be kinder to the Beeb
and only request those programmes judged to have been made available
-- on the basis of my PCs clock?

No. get_iplayer doesn't attempt to download programmes that are not yet available unless you tell it to do so. It is your responsibility not to do that.

Thanks  dinky for answering.

To further illuminate my dimness, when I read in the RunPVR  page, e.g.:
Code:
Matches:
WARNING: No media streams found for requested programme versions and recording modes.
WARNING: PVR Run: 'ONCE_b0854ncv': 1 download failure(s)

INFO: PVR Run: 'ONCE_b0b90l1c'
has the Beeb just been "pinged" to check if pid b0854ncv has media available
or has get_iPlayer worked it out for itself, locally?

any reply gratefully received

I get that message when I'm trying to download a prorgramme whilst it is still being broadcast or very soon afterwards. You will probably find that when you go to the relevant BBC iPlayer page you will see a message saying "the programme will be available soon". The solution is to try later.

Every download attempt accesses the BBC web site.
