How can I tell if download is complete after multiple retries?

user-2174

I'm getting a lot of download error messages, on a wired ethernet connection to a fibre broadband (talktalk). I assume I have some sort of connection issue, though I only encounter problems with get_iplayer.

However the files do eventually complete. What I want to know is given the error messages, is the file 100% correct , or are there likely to be some glitches in the recording  (ie I'm best downloading again)?

Below is a typical example of the error messages I get.

thanks in advance for your help.

Download will fail if all file segments cannot be retrieved. You would see more retries than in example before that happens. Check the file itself if you're concerned. The output shows you the time points (remember to add them) to check for possible discontinuities.
