Just wondered if it was known that iplayer 50fps is not actual true 50fps. When you watch 50fps streams from iplayer they look fine, but if you play them back frame by frame (using vlc player for example) you will see that there are duplicate frames.

Basically, the frame only moves every second frame, if that makes sense.

The only exception is sports broadcasts that are true 50 fps.
