From the 1st May 2018, the JSON feeds that GiP uses to get playlist metadata etc will be discontinued. Is there already a fallback in GiP to take over once this happens? Or are we going back to scraping the iPlayer pages?

No. There is some old fallback code that would no longer work properly if all JSON resources were removed.

More than likely, but there is no way to know if that will be feasible until the BBC throws the switch and everything goes boom. They may have other surprises in store.

Thanks. I'd forgotten that all formats other than JSON had been retired.
