Can category search be emulated?

user-1040

Hi I know that the categories search term has been removed but is there any way to emulate it?

I am trying to get hold of http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/genres/d...r/episodes to get everything there.

Thanks
Martin

If you're OK with parsing JSON, try:

http://clifton.api.bbci.co.uk/aps/progra...sodes.json

Which will get you all the PIDs.

Thanks meic, it is all on 1 line, but I'm sure I can fix that.
That then leads to the question of how did you generate the .json file??

Thanks

I couldn't have made it any plainer. You can't emulate search by category with get_iplayer. If want to work with @meic to use his data, take your queries to whatever forum he prefers. This has nothing to do with get_iplayer.

Thanks Dinky. Indeed, let's take this either to the get_iplayer mailing list, or https://github.com/schedules/ess/issues
