Has something changed on the BBC side? Can't get get_iplayer to download on either Windows or Linux on systems that were working on Thursday night.

I get "No specified modes available for this program" for any TV show on both, and I've also tried all TV modes. IPlayer works fine in a browser from the same machines.

First guess: You're using a VPN that has been blacklisted or is broken. Browser working != get_iplayer working - they work differently.

Do you use Unblock-us? All the reports to date appear to come from Unblock-us users, so it's possible that they have screwed something up. Until someone tests using a different service and posts a log of the result, there is no way to know. Given the lack of squawks about this, Unblock-us as culprit remains a distinct possibility.
