Hi,

I'm trying to download "Britain's Ancient Capital: Secrets of Orkney", which is a three-part series. Episodes 2 & 3 show up in get_iplayer with no problem. However, episode 1 doesn't appear when I search in get_iplayer, and searching for the pid (b087vh70) specifically also returns no results. I've refreshed the cache, and the programme has 14 days left on iPlayer.

Is there anything else I can try, or is there something I'm missing?

You can just use the PID method to download the programme directly.

If you haven't been continually refreshing the cache once a week then get_iplayer won't be able to build up a 30 day cache through which to search for programmes - it can only obtain the last 7 days during any single cache refresh so must be triggered once a week to 'remember' further back than that.

Thanks very much, will do. I thought I'd been refreshing the cache regularly enough, but must have missed a week. That hadn't occurred to me. Time for a cron job, I think! Thanks so much for your help.
