The pid was copied/pasted from the URL in another window where the programme is playing as I type.

Just me, or is this a new feature of the BBC feeds?

The format of your command is incorrect. Read the radio guide to learn how to download radio programmes with get_iplayer.

EDIT: This has absolutely nothing to do with feeds.
