I'd just like to say thanks for documenting the command to enable the convertion of radio programmes to MP3 and automatically deleting M4A files.
Because my car player can only handle MP3's I've held off upgrading from 2.97. However it was clear that radio (which is what most of my downloads are) was having a hard time with the recent changes (failed DASH downloads) in format.
So today I have downloaded the latest version, added the command detailed here to my prefs and all works well.
In my case I have chosen to output to a constant rate, from what I can gather from here the full range of values for -b:a ffmpeg option are:
8, 16, 24, 32, 40, 48, 64, 80, 96, 112, 128, 160, 192, 224, 256, or 320
e.g.
-b:a 192k
I was worried a few months ago when it was revealed that support for mp3 output was to be depreciated, but having tried the latest version with the new options I am more than happy.
Thanks again.
