If you need to re-download and you use --force system message comes back  ... already in history  use --overwrite.

If you use the --overwrite parameter you get message  use --force

A get around of course is to delete either the content or the entry fron the history log.

I also put I think in the wrong forum that subtitles aren't downloading on Linux V2.98 -- working fine on previous versions and working fine on Windows in V2.98

That's not a recursive loop. 

If you need --force to re-download a programme, and you need --overwrite to replace a previously downloaded file, what conclusion can you draw about the command you need to do both?
