Ever since I upgraded to get_iplayer 2.85 a few days ago, I've been having difficulty recording programs.
The primary error appears to be
ERROR: Failed to get version pid metadata from iplayer site
This is happening both using the PVR function
and the CLI
I understand from other sites including that for the get-iplayer-automator program that this is probably due to the 'proxy being down'.
Can anyone advise me as to what I can do to resolve this problem? Maybe I need a way to change the proxy setting so get_iplayer works again?
If it is of any help, I am outside the UK and use Hotspot Shield/Expat Shield in order to use get_iplayer.
Any help would be appreciated.
