I am a new member
I have a Windows 10 setup fully updated, using get_iplayer 2.94 I have downloaded "Taboo" program 3 successfully.
Then I decided to update get_iplayer to 2.97 as it is the latest one available
Guess what! "Taboo" does not show up in the list anymore. I am using get_iplayer Taboo

Please note I have another machine with 2.94 still active and I can still access the Taboo download at this moment in time

Is there a problem with 2.97?

Post the output from get_iplayer Taboo --verbose. Scrub your username if necessary.

Seems to be working now with or without --verbose, I don't know why?
It's not something I really understand, but it's working now, so I'm very happy! cheers

New development, seems to be downloading the HD version and as I am on a slowish internet connection it takes 2.5 hours to download the 2 to 3 Gb file, makes this a nonstarter for me.
I may have to revert back to 2.94?

It means you should go to the Wiki, then the Recording Modes page and read the information there. 

It'll explain why you're getting what you're getting and how to change it. 

The guide regarding how to permanently change quality level will also probably be useful too.
