downloading movies

user-1502

Hi

Been a long time user of get_iplayer - both cmd line and webGUI, this is my first post as must issues have been fixed by finding via search.

I'm trying to download a few movies from BBC.  Tried a few but all fail with

Code:
WARNING: No media streams found for requested programme versions and recording modes.

The one I tried was :

Code:
2112:   Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom - -, BBC One, b007bxmt

My pref file details:

Code:
C:\Program Files (x86)\get_iplayer>get_iplayer --showprefs
Options in 'C:\Users\tosh/.get_iplayer/options'
        tvmode = tv25fps
        output = G:\iPlayer
        fileprefix = <nameshort><-senum><-episodeshort>
        modes = best

BTW I'm in the UK - no VPNs/proxy etc.  And all other programs/radio download ok.

Thanks
Phil

If you look on the Iplayer web site
  http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b007bxmt
You'll see:
  "This programme is not currently available on BBC Iplayer"

Presumably the BBC haven't acquired the rights to allow this movie to be streamed on Iplayer.

Thanks - makes sense - thought I was going mad - checking modes/options.  Nice simple one.

By the way if you didn't know that you also get that message when a programme is out of date.
i.e. If it was last on tv more than 30 days ago, for most programmes, or 7 days for most films & a day or less for national news programmes or local news programmes.

The other thing I've noticed since upgrading to v2.97 is that if I have a download running & I lose internet connection or I get the regular timed out message & I re-start it from the point it stopped it takes a lot longer to re-start than before.
