does anyone know if there is a way of downloading Get_iplayer downloads straight to a FTP server?   I don't usually download to a PC anymore with anything i get online directly and prefer to download it to an online cloud?

There is no such functionality in get_iplayer, nor will it ever be implemented. You can use --command to automatically move your file to a local hot folder for a cloud service (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox) after download, though it's not quite the same thing.

I think you CAN specify a specific directory -- at least in the Linux Cmd line version   there's  an --output -o option where o is the recording output directory.

I haven't tried this yet with a remote server but in theory it should provided the syntax allows directory entries of the form \\ipaddress or server name

(I'm still using V.295 on Linux --still working OK)
